How to Choose

Please remember these VERY important points when choosing your elective(s):

DO:

Choose a course that you enjoy!

Understand that choosing a first or second year world language course will require you to step up your game as these classes are high school credit courses with a faster pace and greater workload.

Ask your school counselor if you have questions about electives

(but do so before registration sheets are due!)

DON’T:

Choose a class just because your friend picked it!

(It’s very likely that you and your friend may have the class during different periods!)

Choose a class because you think you will have a certain teacher.

(Often teachers rotate what classes they teach due to enrollment and staffing changes.)

Expect that you can change your elective next year when school starts.

(Very few, if any, elective schedule changes are approved since each year’s schedule is created based upon the choices made now on your registration forms.)
