Homework

Parents: Please check your child's agenda daily for homework assignments.

Reading:

  • Students should read for about 20 minutes each night.
  • Reading each night helps to build vocabulary knowledge, fluency, and comprehension.
  • Have a conversation with your child about what they read...ask them questions! This helps to promote understanding of the text.

Math:

  • Students should study their basic math facts each night. Start with basic addition and subtraction facts first. Basic multiplication and division facts should be mastered by the end of third grade.
  • Use the following resources to help at home.

Reflex Math- This site is the one we are using to help students master their facts in 3rd grade. Students practice multiplication and division facts in a fun way!

Mathplayground.com- This site gives students an opportunity to practice a variety of skills. They can choose to practice a skill we are learning now, or review a previously taught skill. These activities are fun and engaging...have fun!

Multiplication.com- This site focuses on building knowledge and speed with basic multiplication facts. There are a variety of activities to choose from.
