The College and Career Readiness and College Completion (CCRCCA) Act of 2103 established requirements designed to increase college and career readiness and completion of MD students. The Act includes provisions for several initiatives that affect secondary education in MD:
Maryland law defines “College and Career Ready” as being ready to take credit-bearing courses in college. By their junior year, all students will be assessed in English and to determine their CCR status, and develop a program to support them to reach the level if needed during their senior year. FCPS is using the FREE School day SAT for this measure. All juniors will take the SAT during school on March 7, 2018.
