How to Record/Report Industry Certifications for FCPS purposes
When a student attempts and/or earns an industry certification in the appropriate course, teachers must enter this in to TAC using the correct process within 1 week.
Once saved, the results will appear in RADAR within 7 days.

How to Record /Report College Credit for PLTW for FCPS purposes
Teachers do not need to enter in College Credits into TAC for FCPS purposes. With the many combinations, we will use FCC's articulated credit requirements as the measure for counting College Credit.
Teacher should still share the other options with students and assist them with investigating it as an option but no district-level reporting is needed.

Biomedical Innovations
Through the review of the MSDE resources, we will not ask teachers to report a "pass" on a end of course assessment. For MSDE reporting of students earning College Credit, the FCC option will be used. No action is needed for teachers to report this.
Option 1) FROM PLTW
1,600 colleges for transfer credit, which means that students can apply for credit at one institution and transfer it to another institution. It is up to the receiving institution to determine how the credit transfers (ie: an elective or not).
Principles of Biomedical Science
Students must receive at least a 330 on the end-of-course assessment (equating to 70%) in order to receive credit.
Students must receive at least a 350 on the end-of-course assessment (equating to 70%) in order to receive credit.

Instructions for students to apply the credit for at Stevenson
Option 3) FROM Frederick Community College
Students must successfully complete all 4 classes (Principles of Biomed Science, Homan Body Systems, Medial Inventions, and Biomedical Innovations) and earn Articulated College Credit at Frederick Community College.
If a student enrolls in a degree at FCC, they earn credit for Biot 103, Biot 140, and Biot 110.

IED - 6 or 420 or higher
POE - 6 or 420 or higher
DE - 5 or 420 or higher
Submit an electronic portfolio of their EDD project
