Middle school transition helps students begin exploring their strengths, interests, preferences, and future goals. Through age-appropriate activities, students build skills in self-advocacy, decision-making, education and training, employment, and independent living. Starting early allows families and school teams to work together to prepare students for high school and life after graduation.
