IB Exams
Each course is assessed in a number of ways. All courses have an internally assessed component. The timeline for these assessments are set by each teacher. This work is typically scored by the teacher and those scores are moderated by the IBO. They range in value between 15% and 25% of a students total score. In addition, higher level courses have 3 externally assessed components while standard level courses have 2. Externally assessed components are most often the examination papers that students sit for each May, but some subjects may have an additional essay or other work that is submitted in place of an exam.
Fees for 2023-24 school year are being covered by FCPS as a part of the Maryland Blueprint for Education
