The program has been accredited with PrintED in the areas of Introduction to Graphic Communications, Advertising Design and Screen Printing. While the class focuses on those areas, it also covers other topics in great detail. Students will complete a series of projects to help them learn the types of equipment used in the industry, as well as applications that are used by designers and industry professionals.
**BEGINNING SPRING 2024 2nd year DDPM Students will be able to earn 3 credits through Dual Enrollment with FCC as DDPM will offer Graphic Communications (GRPHCOMM1) as part of the curriculum.
Students work with the latest Adobe Creative Cloud software applications with the goal of obtaining Adobe certification in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Some of the projects are actual contracted jobs that vary according to the needs of the clients who contact CTC. These projects will provide the students with many opportunities that they can use in their portfolios as well as experience that can be used on their resume to help future colleges and prospective employers see the students capabilities in many different areas of design and print.
