The Cosmetology program is a two-year, 1,500-hour program that prepares students for the Maryland State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Exam. First year students develop their basic knowledge of hair, skin, and nail care in a classroom setting while working on mannequins or paired with another student. Second year students have the opportunity to hone their skills and put their knowledge into practice while operating the CTC Full Service Salon, which is open to the public during the school year, Wednesday-Friday / 8:00am-1:30pm. Upon completion of the program, at the end of the 2nd-year, students that have earned their 1,500 hours are eligible to take the Maryland State Board of Cosmetology Exam.
