Wed. September 8th: submit Self Tape Audition (submit digitally)
Students will submit a self-tape audition along with their contracts, resumes, and photo/video forms to be considered for a role in the fall show. For this digital audition, you will be performing one of the pre-selected monologues (available below and outside of room 400). We are looking to see how you do with memorization and embodying a character. Depending on how many students audition and the number of roles in the show, we may use this to cut or limit the amount of students invited to callbacks the next day, so send us your best take that showcases your acting strengths! Don't forget to slate at the beginning with your first and last name + the name of the monologue you're performing.
Thurs. September 9th: Callbacks (in-person)
Those we are interested in seeing read for specific roles will be invited to attend a "cold-reading" audition in the auditorium after school this day. The callback list will be posted HERE on this website in the evening on 9/8. You will be given scenes from the play to read with another person, and you will be coached by the directing team. We are looking to see how you respond to direction and your instincts for the characters. Please wear a mask while you are in the building.
Fri. Septemeber 10th: Final Callbacks (as needed, in-person)
We may call for a final callback for a select few students on this day after school. If you do not receive a final callback it does not mean you aren't cast in the show. Simply keep your eyes peeled here on the website for the final cast list to go up by 7pm this day. In the event we do NOT host final callbacks, a cast list will go up after school this day. Again, wear a mask if you are invited to attend this.
