Hello! I am Mrs. Crockett, and I am a secondary English Language Arts teacher at Freeburg High School. The 2025-2026 school year marks my 12th year as a high school English teacher.
I have two daughters who keep me busy and fill my life with joy. The oldest is Olivia, who is nine and in fourth grade, and the youngest is Hadley, who is seven and in second grade. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my family. We love camping, watching TV, and following all sorts of sports, such as football, hockey, and motocross and F1 racing. We are also dog lovers! We have two dogs named Axle and Rain.
I earned a Master's of Education in Teacher Leadership in November 2023. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and a minor in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville in 2014.
Interacting with my students and witnessing their growth is truly the highlight of my career. Every day, I am inspired by the dedication and enthusiasm they bring to the learning process.
