Personal Information:

      Hi! My name is Melodie Still. I have been teaching High School Science in the private and public school systems for more than 25 years.  I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.,  and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. This is my 13th year teaching Chemistry at Fox Creek High School and I LOVE it! 

In previous years, I was the Co-Sponsor of the Fox Creek High School American Red Cross Club. We did various community service projects. I was also a Co-Sponsor of the "Stitching Den" which teaches students how to crochet and to do cross-stitch. We made blankets for women with cancer staying at the Lydia Project facility, and for our school's Secret Santa project. Before that, I was a Co-Sponsor of the Interact Club. As you can see, I am committed to helping out our community in any way I can. 

    One nonprofit organization that I started volunteering for is the "Linus Project." This organization makes blankets for infants in the area hospital NICUs and makes "comfort blankets" to 3 and 4-year old's who are starting school. They donate at least 150 blankets per month! 

      My husband and I have been married for more than 33 years and have three children. All three of my children attended and graduated from Fox Creek High School. My oldest son Harper is in the U.S. Coast Guard and is stationed in Port Arthur, Texas. He is working as a Diesel Mechanic for the Cutter engines. My middle child, Claire, joined the U.S. Navy. She is a Logistics Specialist stationed in San Diego, CA. Jennings, my youngest child, is works as a Security Police Officer I for Centerra at SRS.  We are members of TrueNorth Church and have been on several mission trips. We have MANY pets! We have a sweet rescue dog named Lucy,  a Chocolate Lab named Bonnie, two rescue cats (one named Maisel and the other one named Biscuits), and 12 chickens. 

          Besides spending time with my family, I have several hobbies. I like to knit, crochet, and do other crafts. I also love to travel! During the summer, I make jams and jellies, can vegetables, and make relish. I love spending time at Lake Murray with my parents and going on our annual family beach trips to Edisto Beach.
