About the Teacher

Hi! My name is Wimberly Yon, and this is my third year at FCHS. I earned my B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking from South Carolina State University, and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from Argosy University of Atlanta.

My passion lies in meeting students where they are and helping them grow in their artistic and theatrical talents. I’m committed to cultivating a creative, supportive environment where students feel empowered to express themselves.

I live in Graniteville, SC with my husband and our 10-year-old daughter. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, writing, and spending quality time with my family.

Fun Fact:
I am a self-published author and illustrator of "Allyson & Sam" and "Allyson & Ballet", co-created with my daughter, Allyson, who also served as a co-author and illustrator. Together, we bring stories to life through words and art!
