Distance Learning Schedule

Please see TLC's Distance Learning Schedule below. Please remember schedule will ajust as we advance in our studies and to reflect student needs, growth and interests.

While Fort Bragg Unified School District offers Distance Learning to comply with health and safety needs, the following is a sample daily schedule.

Students will log-on daily meetings form 9-3:30 pm using Google Meeting. If a student cannot make a meeting, it is very important they call, email or text staff to let us know the reason before the meeting.


9-9:45

-Welcome, attendance

-Meditation pt 1

- co-journaling (3-20 minutes as tolerance for activity improves)

-journal sharing/silent reading together (3-20 minutes as skills improve)

-Daily Schedule/Class Expectations

(week 1-2, briefly and as needed after, week 3-5 daily “to-do” list making for remainder of day post meeting for IEP “schedule making goal”, OR check in on “Supported Decision Making Team” info-graphic for SDMT IEP goals-but beneficial to all students (5 minutes)

9:45-10:45

-Restorative Practices Circle and/or student mental health check-in (led by Isaac 1x per week)

-Lifeskills check-in

Break

10:45-12:00

-Read-a-loud (from chapter book TBD by group interest and vote)

-Life skill/Career Lesson, Games or Presentation-(Brainpop, Masterclass, Conover, Unique Learning or TedEd) based on IEP goals.

-Movement Break

12-12:30

Lunch together (with peers and staff)

12:30- 1:15

-Breathing and Meditation pt 2 (Headspace-Self Esteem, Stress Management, Mindfulness) OR Mindfulness activity using kinesthetics originally presented by Isaac Fishman on 6/18 (10 minutes) OR Adaptive PE exercises

-Volunteer work check in/Community practices check-in/workability check-in

and/OR

-Life skills Masterclass lesson (such as cooking with Alice Waters)

-Movement Break(GoNoodle or Youtube Dance tutorial or Peloton online exercise class) (5-10minutes)

-Art/Creative activity or game/sharing (three dimensional drawing tutorial on Youtube which is scaffolded by staff) This activity may be voted on by students (such as: Would you like to continue/review the art lesson? or play charades?). This activity might also go into the “Afterparty” time. (5-20 minutes)


1:15-3:30

Social skills, music, online educationalgames

OR

Continuation of online life skills or career ed lesson


-Goodbye and reminder for the next days meeting as appropriate
