TLC stands for the Transition Learning Center. At TLC, we are so honored to work with young adults, aged 18-22 , who have been diagnosed with disabilities. We work together with resources from the community to help students be able to live and work as independently as possible; to become contributing members of society- helping them establish themselves in the local workforce. We also teach independent living skills in all areas of life- including cooking, cleaning, gardening, hygiene and social-emotional wellness.

We are located in a house off campus, where we cook our own meals, clean, learn and get ready for our dream jobs out in the community. At TLC, we strive to spend roughly 70% of our time together outside of the house and in the community. On Friday's we usually go on an adventure, go out to lunch, or spend time working out or doing leisure activities.

We believe that every person can learn, and that every person deserves a chance to be an independent, blossoming member of this beautiful coastal community.

I am an adult,

I am in charge of my own life.

I can make decisions about my future;

Where I live, where I work , who I want to be with, are my choices.

I am smart, strong and lovable.

I am an adult.
