Not SoVery Brief About Me

This is just a brief section about me, for those of you that don't know.:

I was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (Home of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts), and lived there for the most part of 49 years. I graduated from: R.J. Reynolds Senior High School, Penn State University, University of Georgia, and Winston-Salem State University. I initially majored in broadcasting, but was drawn to education while getting my Masters Degree at UGA while teaching undergraduate students. My student teacher training was in 5th grade, and I was a long term sub for 4th grade for half of a school year. I then subbed in the WSFCS district for all grades for a year and a half before starting my teaching career at Ashley Middle School for 6th grade. 

I taught science, math, language arts, and alternative education in the WSFCS district from 1991 to 2012. I moved here in 2012, and finally started teaching the computer class at the middle school after getting my California Credential. I have taught middle school computer skills class,  middle school SEA Academy, 4th grade, and 5th grade so far in FBUSD. This year I am teaching 5th grade.

I have three children: Heaven (35), Alex (31), and Orion "GUS" (10 ). I have two grandsons: Sylas (10) and Eros (4). I have one granddaughter, Gaia (2), who was born in April, 2021. Eros and Gaia also have one brother (Loki) and two sisters. We also have two cats: Frederick Banting Mercury and Nala DeLoche-Nifong. 

For you sports fans, my favorites:  College teams--Penn State and University of Georgia   NFL--New England Patriots (Panthers too)   MLB--New York Yankees   NHL--Carolina Hurricanes   NBA--None really, but I like Kevin Durant.
