Hello, and welcome to our classroom community! 

My name is Mrs. Margerison, and I'll be your child's first-grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful journey we are about to embark on together. I have many fun and engaging lessons planned for the school year, and I know we will make it great together!

About Me: 

You may know me as Mrs. M. I have been employed with the Fort Bragg Unified School District for ten years.

Initially, I am from Western Maryland. Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains, I developed my love for nature, especially birds. I met my husband Josh in Florida, and we have three grown children: Morgan, Allyson, and Christian. My fourth baby is Chester, the family dog. 

I earned my BS degree in Elementary Education in Florida. I taught second grade for two years in Jacksonville, FL. My husband and I moved to Fort Bragg twenty-five years ago. When my children were teens, I returned to the workforce. In 2014, I discovered and fell in love with Redwood Elementary School. 

I am thrilled to teach First Grade. I am passionate about teaching all subjects and cannot wait to see your child excel. 

Before the school year ends, the students will become quite familiar with my love and knowledge of birds in our area, my love for paddle-boarding, Yoga, Sunflowers, and, of course, themselves.

¡Hola y bienvenido a nuestra comunidad de aulas! 

¡Mi nombre es Sra. Margerison y seré la maestra de primer grado de su hijo durante el año escolar 2024-2025! Estoy lleno de entusiasmo y anticipación por el maravilloso viaje que estamos a punto de emprender juntos. Tengo muchas lecciones divertidas y atractivas planeadas para el año escolar, ¡y sé que lo haremos genial juntos!

Inicialmente, Soy del oeste de Maryland. Al crecer en las Montañas Apalaches, desarrollé mi amor por la naturaleza, especialmente las aves. Conocí a mi esposo Josh en Florida y tenemos tres hijos mayores: Morgan, Allyson y Christian. Mi cuarto bebé es Chester, el perro de la familia. 

Obtuve mi licenciatura en Educación Primaria en Florida. Enseñé segundo grado durante dos años en Jacksonville, FL. Mi marido y yo nos mudamos a Fort Bragg hace veinticinco años. Cuando mis hijos eran adolescentes, regresé a la fuerza laboral. En 2014, descubrí y me enamoré de la Escuela Primaria Redwood. 

Estoy encantado de enseñar primer grado. Me apasiona enseñar todas las materias y no puedo esperar a ver a su hijo sobresalir. 

Antes de que termine el año escolar, los estudiantes se familiarizarán con mi amor y conocimiento de las aves en nuestra área, mi amor por el remo, el yoga, los girasoles y, por supuesto, ellos mismos.
