Teachers (Advisors) - Eric Forrester, Macaella Del Stuckey
Noyo High School, along with Lighthouse Community Day School and Shelter Cove Community Day school, is a Big Picture Learning School.
The mission of FBUSD Big Picture Learning is to engage students in real world learning and help them design a curriculum around their interests, passions and talents.
Big Picture Learning Rationale
When you learn about what you’re interested in, you learn faster and more deeply.
When you connect with experts outside the classroom, you become better prepared for life after school.
When you have a strong connection with multiple adults, you have better learning outcomes.
Teachers at our school are known as Advisors and students stay with the same advisor throughout their time with us. This allows the advisors to develop a strong bond with the students and build a sense of community.
Parent involvement is through the Site Council, Student Study Teams, Pre-enrollment Conferences, Student Attendance Review Meetings, Back-to-School Night and Open House and quarterly awards banquets.
Our School Site Council approves our school’s annual plan and some categorical budget expenditures. New Site Council members are always needed. Spanish translators are also needed at many school meetings. To find out how you can volunteer at our school, please contact our principal at (707) 961-2889.
