Student Information

At the First General Session, the Officer Candidate will have an opportunity to speak.  At the first general session the campaign manager will deliver an introduction speech and then the candidate will speak.  Both speeches combined will not exceed 2 minutes.   You may not begin campaigning until lunch.  

You must be in grades 9-11th to run for an office.

Positions –

• President - responsible for Area Conference and Competition

• Vice President - responsible for Area Conference and Competition.  Helps president as needed.

• Secretary - responsible for Conference and Competition.  Keeps accurate records for the Area as needed.

• Treasurer - responsible for Area Conference and Competition.  Keeps accurate records for the Area as needed.

• Reporter/Historian - responsible for Area Conference and Competition.  Keeps scrapbook and mail outs as needed.

• Parliamentarian - Not an elected office. The highest scoring individual on the parliamentary procedures scantron test is chosen.  Responsible for upholding Roberts Rules of Order.

Each applicant must be fully endorsed by their advisor.
