Kendra Tackett in Guidance sets up accounts for new teachers.
Be sure that you login to IC before the first day of school.
If you have questions see below.
If a student is not in class at the beginning first block mark them absent. If they come in late, do not change it to Tardy during first block. That will be handled by the attendance clerk. For the rest of the day you may mark students absent or tardy.
Sometimes you have a group of students in your class who get assignments that the rest of the students don't get. You can set up groups in IC so that the grades entered for that group only show for those students and you don't have to exempt the rest of the students. For example, if you have collab students who have alternate or shortened assignments. The directions for setting up student groups are in the list to the right.
Teacher messenger is in the Campus Instruction section of IC. Instructions on how to send class messages to students and parents, failing grade messages, and missing assignment messages are in the list to the right.
When it is time to post grades, Kim will send out an email with specific instructions (in the list on the right) on how to post for that grading period. Deanna Smith will send a notice on when the posting window will be opened and what the deadline is for posting. If your grades aren’t posted by deadlilne, Kim will come to you and let you know and help you with any problems. All classes where students get a credit should be posted including independent study classes
Whenever you talk to a parent or conference with a student, keep track of that interactive in the student's PLP log. Directions on how to do that are linked on the right as well as directions on how to keep track of interventions you have used with students.
