Here are the nominations for the KBA High School award. See the KBA display in the PLD library to check out copies or use Sora in your Google waffle to check out an e-book or audiobook version. The PLD Library Book Club also reads KBA books. We usually vote on the best KBA book in April every year.
The PLD Library Book Club meets bi-weekly in the Dunbar Den during 5th lunch from 1:15-1:40 p.m. We eat snacks, choose the books we want to read from the KBA list, and discuss them. Sometimes we craft, too. If you would like to join the book club, then email Mrs. Faris at amber.faris@fayette.kyschools.us.

Congratulations to author Rebecca Ross for winning the KBA Award for High School for her fantasy novel, Divine Rivals! The book follows Iris Winnow and Roman Kitt, rivals at the Oath Gazette newspaper, as they navigate a war between gods and a budding romance. Iris, struggling to support her family and keep her brother's letters, finds an unexpected connection with Roman through an anonymous, magical correspondence. This connection intensifies as they both become entangled in the war, battling not only the gods, but also the personal struggles that plague them. It's a perfect blend of fantasy, historical fiction, mythology, and romance. We have physical copies, an audiobook, and an ebook copy available in the PLD Library. Also, be sure to check out the sequel, Ruthless Vows.
