Task: Students will familiarize yourself with the AP World History exam structure. Begin by reviewing the exam format in the Course and Exam Description (pages 195–200). Then, write a well-developed paragraph reflecting on your strengths and areas for growth. In your response, identify which section of the exam (Multiple Choice, Short Answer Questions, Document-Based Question, or Long Essay Question) you feel most confident about and explain why. Also, discuss which section you believe will require the most practice and provide reasoning for your choice.

Print the vocabulary packet and complete it by hand, making sure each answer fits in the space provided. When printing, adjust the print area so you don’t waste paper on extra blank pages. Write all answers in your own words using ten words or fewer—this helps you actually understand the terms instead of copying definitions. Be careful with words that have multiple meanings by following the packet directions. For visual aids, create original drawings or ideas—do not copy from others, even if you’re working with a friend. Keep your visuals simple; quick sketches like stick figures, symbols, or sign-style drawings are encouraged and can help you remember the material better.
You will complete a CREEDS chart for each major world religion—Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Shintoism, and Sikhism—on paper. For each one, organize key information into the six CREEDS categories, focusing on beliefs, practices, historical development, and influence on society. Keep your responses concise and written in your own words so they are useful for studying later. The goal of this activity is to help you compare religions and better understand their role in world history and geography.
