The Math, Science, and Technology Center (MSTC) began in 1990 and is a program designed for students that are gifted in math or science. The program offers a rigorous curriculum, broad choice in class options, and the opportunity for an independent research project with a university mentor.
Hi, my name is Iman, and I am a senior in MSTC. I love basketball, and my team will always be the Celtics; however, my favorite player is Kyrie. I've been to almost every U.S state, but mainly grew up in New York and Boston, and for the last four years, Kentucky has been my home. I run track, throw pottery, and am the President of the Spanish Honors Society. But beyond that, most of my time is dedicated to listening to music or facetiming my fourteen-year-old brother, Armaan. I am also currently researching the transduction of different cancer organoids, 3D cellular models used to personalize patient care. In the future, I hope to become a physician and apply my knowledge of in vitro cell models to open my own lab.
