The Math, Science, and Technology Center (MSTC) began in 1990 and is a program designed for students that are gifted in math or science. The program offers a rigorous curriculum, broad choice in class options, and the opportunity for an independent research project with a university mentor.
Hi! My name is Katie Carter, and I am a senior in MSTC. Outside of school, I have a hostess job at Asuka, I am the captain of the PLD tennis team, and I do nails as a side job. I love going to the gym, hanging out with my friends, listening to music, and playing tennis. My capstone project is focused on NOTCH related genes in periodontal disease at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. In the future, I plan on majoring in Human Health Sciences on a track to attend dental school.
