My name is Luke Ayoob, and I’m a senior in MSTC. Outside of the classroom, I stay busy with a variety of activities, including football, swimming, working out, and hanging out with friends. When I am not in the gym, pool, or on the gridiron, I play bass in Dunbar's orchestra. During the summer months, you'll find me at the Palomar neighborhood pool, where I swim for the Palomar Piranhas summer swim team. I also served as an assistant coach for the team and worked as a lifeguard as well to get my money up. This summer I attended GSP at Centre College where I enjoyed learning about the healthcare industry and made lifelong friends. My research project is with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UK, where we are investigating how biomaterials influence immune-cell behavior during tissue regeneration. In college, I plan to major in engineering or a biological science, with the hope of applying to medical school after graduating.
