Chinese Summer Camp

FCPS will provide free Chinese Summer Camp on June 7-18, 2021. Please see the attached flyer. Here is the website of 2019 STARTALK program https://sites.google.com/view/fcpsstartalkchineseprogram2019/home

Facts about the camp:

1. Students attend Monday-Friday for two weeks

2. Students attend for 2 ½ hours each day

3. There will be an at-home (asynchronous) video each day we hope students access

4. Registration is free, and students receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and camp materials

5. Morning session and afternoon session will have a different cultural focus

6. Registration will open on Monday, April 12 in the morning. In the past, it has filled up in one day. Please encourage parents to apply that day.

7. There will be 52 spots per session (52 students in the morning/52 in the afternoon).

8. Learning is highly engaging with lots of hands-on activities.

9. Students attend a cultural class each day.

10. A snack will be provided.

11. There is no transportation (no busing to the camp).

12. Camp is only open to current K-5 students who are attending one of our elementary schools that offers Chinese.
