Interested in Referring Your Child for Primary Talent Pool (K-3) or Gifted and Talented (4+)?

The links below include the Fayette County Public Schools overview of both Primary Talent Pool (PTP) and Gifted and Talented (GT) requirements, service options, processes for identification/selection, and any other information you may need in determining your next steps. 

 Also included, are links to the referral that parents or guardians should complete in the event, after reviewing eligibility requirements and characteristics of PTP and GT students, they would like to go forward with a referral for their student for PTP. Once the form is completed, a process, usually lasting 6-8 weeks will begin at the school level to collect work samples, observations and other evidences to determine if PTP selection or GT identification and services are appropriate for your student.  Parent / Guardians initiating referrals will be contacted for additional information to help support the referral process. 

For GT identification in 4+ grade, formal testing is required and is completed through FCPS during certain times of the year, however, referrals may be initiated at any time.
