What is Student Council?
At Lafayette, our Student Council is one of our biggest student organizations, with over 300 members! This organization is open to all students at Lafayette. Our mission is to foster school spirit, promote positive community engagement, and create school wide connections. Throughout the year, full council meetings are hosted by Head Council and our Sponsors to discuss the plans for our goals! There are so many ways you can get involved in Student Council!
Lafayette's Student Council is a busy group - we host homecoming, take care of student sections and game themes, plan events and gifts for teacher appreciation, help with student assemblies, fundraise for charities and projects at Lafayette, host coat/glove/toy drives, participate in volunteer work in the community, oversee freshman orientation, organize spirit weeks, and host the biggest event at Lafayette which benefits Kentucky Children’s Hospital’s Oncology Clinic - DanceBlue.
