Eighth grade is a broad course covering reading, grammar, writing, speaking, and listening. The Eighth grade student will read a survey of novels, short stories, poetry, and drama. To improve writing, as well as reading comprehension, students will also study vocabulary, grammar, and usage.

Collections English Language Arts _--- *Students will be provided with a textbook, a performance book and workbook. Students are responsible for keeping up with these books. Each student is given one of each to use throughout the year. A fee will be applicable if they need to be replaced due to loss or damage.
