Dear GSE Families,

Welcome to Garden Springs Elementary School!  We are gearing up for another outstanding year of fun and learning at GSE and we are excited that you will be part of our school community. 

At Garden Springs, we anchor our work around the core beliefs that continue to guide us toward success: students must always be at the center of what we do, collaboration is key in building a strong learning community, establishing positive relationships is critical to our success, and student engagement is essential in learning.  We are fortunate to have an outstanding faculty and staff at GSE who ground their daily work around these beliefs. 

We expect students to be respectful, act responsibly, work and play safely and strive for success each day in and outside the classroom.  These skills will help them be successful while at GSE and prepare them for success as they move on to new challenges and opportunities in life. 

Research shows that when parents are actively involved in their child’s education, it results in higher achievement.  As parents, we encourage you to support your child’s education by reading to him or her daily, encourage independent reading, create a daily homework space and routine, talk with your child about what happens each day at school, and communicate openly and honestly with your child’s teacher.
