I grew up in the hills of southeastern Kentucky, in small community outside of Hazard called Yerkes. From the head of a hollow to the big city of Lexington. I am a first generation college graduate with a Masters of Arts in Education, Secondary (K-12 Art). I've taught in Fayette County for 16 years.

I am currently in my first year of teaching at Garrett Morgan Elementary and while I'm still struggling to learn all 730+ names, I absolutely enjoy every student who enters my art room.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy gardening, painting, and caring for the chickens on our hobby farm in Irvine, Ky.
