• 🌞 8/25 Meet the Principal & PTA on the Playground (Time TBD)

Join us on the playground to meet our new principal, Mrs. Church! The PTA will be there with free popsicles,   ready to answer questions, share information about the upcoming school year, and help welcome our GME families.

• 🍧 8/27 – Spirit Night at Loco Ice

4:00–7:00 PM
Treat your family to a sweet night out at Loco Ice! Enjoy delicious shaved ice while supporting Garrett Morgan Elementary. A portion of the evening's sales will be donated back to our PTA to help support our students, teachers, and school programs.

We’ll share updates on volunteer opportunities, the PTA budget, and upcoming events. Plus, attending earns you Pack Points!

• 🏃 9/18 – GME Boosterthon Fun Run
  During  School  Hours
  Get ready to get moving! Our Boosterthon Fun Run is happening during the school day on September 18th! Students will have a fun-filled day of running, walking, and cheering while helping raise money for our school.
  🎉 There are prize incentives along the way! Students will earn rewards based on the amount they raise, so every donation helps them work toward exciting prizes. And the best part—every student gets a prize just for signing up!
  More information about how to register, donate, and earn rewards will be coming home soon. We can’t wait to see our GME students get moving and have fun while supporting our school! 🐺💙

• 🚌 8/6 – Open House 

All Grades (K–5): 5:00–6:30 PM
Meet your child’s teacher, explore the classroom, drop off school supplies, and help your child get comfortable before the first day! It’s a great opportunity to meet other families and sign up for the PTA to stay involved throughout the year.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we love finding small ways to show just how much we value the amazing staff at GME.  One of our favorite traditions is having volunteers help with the morning car line to give our staff a well-deserved break.  Be on the lookout for a sign-up coming soon- we'd love your help!

This is a great opportunity to learn what’s happening at school and find ways to get involved, big or small! • 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️GME Field Day – May 28th 

We are looking for volunteers to help make Field Day a fun and successful event for our students! Volunteers will assist with running activity stations, helping keep students safe, and cheering them on throughout the day.  If you’re available to help, we would greatly appreciate your time and support. Keep an eye out for a sign-up coming soon—Field Day wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers!

• 👵👴 Grandparents Night – February 27 (5:30–7:00 PM)
  Bring a grandparent or special adult in your child’s life for a fun evening at GME! Enjoy snacks, games, and time together, and be sure to stop by the Book Fair while you’re here. More information about donations will be shared closer to the event.

• 📚 GME Readathon – March 2–13
  Our Readathon is coming back, and we’re so excited! Last year was a huge success—have you seen our new swingset? We can’t wait to see how much we can raise this year to support our amazing students. More details coming soon!

• 🍽 11/19 Panera Spirit Nights (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM)

• 🎉 Staff Appreciation – 11/24 & 11/25
  The PTA is cooking up a little surprise to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them.

• 🍪 Cookies & Cocoa Family Event – 12/9 (5:30–7:00 PM)
  Come hang out with the PTA, decorate cookies, make a craft, and enjoy some hot chocolate. This is a free event for all families!

• 🍝 Fazoli’s Spirit Event – 12/16

🐾 10/17 and 10/20 – Wolf Den Shopping Days

• Get ready! Our next Wolf Den Shopping Days are Friday (October 17th) and Monday (October 20th).  The school is buzzing with excitement! Students can’t wait to spend their hard-earned EOS dollars. 🍬 Candy Donations Needed- Now through October 23rd 

• We’re collecting candy now through October 23rd for the GME Trick or Treat Night!  Donations can be dropped off in the front office or with your student’s teacher. To make this an amazing night, we need all the candy we can get!  Thank you for helping make this event extra sweet for our GME kids!

• Our annual PTA Trick-or-Treat event is almost here! Put on your favorite costume and get ready to fill your bags with treats. Get ready to run, walk, or cheer! Have your child wear a white shirt and sneakers for this exciting school event, complete with a colorful chalk explosion at the finish line.
