In 2026, Fayette County Public Schools was recognized through the National Association for School Psychologists (NASP) for earning a PROMISING ESPS Recognition designation after a rigorous application and review process with the NASP Practice Model Committee. This recognition status symbolizes the district’s commitment to providing comprehensive school psychological services to students through the NASP Practice Model.
Our school psychologist group for the 2025-2026 school year consists of 42 school psychologists who support preschool through high school including all of our special program schools. Each school psychologist generally supports between 1-2 schools. Our school psychologists all hold certification from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and the Educational Professional Standards Board (EPSB). Twenty of our school psychologists are Nationally Certified School Psychologists (NCSP), 9 have their doctorate, and 4 are licensed psychologists.
