Tryout Assessments

Players are evaluated by coaches on the following categories:

• Passing/ Ball Control
• Setting
• Hitting
• Serving
• Attitude
• Effort

The scores are then calculated and the athletes with the highest overall scores from the two days earn their spots on the team. Scores are confidential. Players may ask what their lowest category was, but numerical scores will not be released.

*Players should plan to attend all tryouts.

In order to participate, each athlete must have a sports physical for the current year, completed by a heath care professional for the clinic or their try out date. If you do not have a current physical on file you will NOT be able to try out. Form needed can be found below.

July 17th:

10:30 - 12:30 - 7th and 8th Graders

1:00 - 3:00 - 6th Graders

All Grades: July 18th:

8:00 - 10:00 AM 6th Grade

10:30 - 12:30 PM 7th and 8th Grade

All Grades: July 18th:

8:00 - 10:00 - 6th Graders

10:30 - 12:30 - 7th and 8th Graders

We will see all listed players for practice starting tomorrow when the hard work begins. There will also be a parent meeting in the Cafeteria at 5:30 PM tomorrow morning for parents of any athlete that made the team. This is a mandatory parent meeting and we will be covering schedules, insurance and collecting team donation, insurance fee and discussing expectations for players, parents, and the season.
