Training for Educators
The DESSA SSR is the new progress monitoring tool for SEL. The DESSA SSR is located on the Aperture Education Platform and is accessed through Clever (in the waffle). The assessment, SSR ( Student Self-Report), is entirely Strength-Based and provides real time feedback directly to our students through the Aperture Student Portal. This tool helps us identify students who might need additional support. Our Student Support Staff and Admins meet with all students who show a need for support in any area. The DESSA measures personal responsibility, optimistic thinking, goal-directed behavior, relationship skills, social awareness, self-awareness, decision-making, and self-management. The resources below will introduce educators to the Aperture System and the HSE-SSR.

Review the instructions for students. Teachers will use the slide deck and login instructions to guide students on the day we give the DESSA SSR.

You will also need your roster of students with consent. This will be in your email. Students MUST have a signed consent form to be allowed to take the DESSA.
