Dear Seventh Grader and Families,
We hope that you are enjoying your last days of summer, while looking forward to a wonderful year at Crawford Middle School! Your teachers want to take a moment to introduce themselves and welcome you to our Seventh Grade Team, the Reds.
Ms. Kelly has taught at Crawford for 28 years. This year in her Science class, she is excited to incorporate a new interactive Science program. This is Mrs. Nelson’s third year at Crawford, and she is looking forward to expanding your current math knowledge through the district’s Envisions curriculum. Ms. Kennedy is beginning her second year teaching at CMS, and in her English/Language Arts class, you will be sharpening your reading and writing skills. This year, we welcome Ms. Roe to the Reds Team, and in her Social Studies class, she is excited to share her love of history with you.
Seventh grade is a very important transition year for you. You will find yourself taking on more responsibility, because you are no longer a first year middle school student. You have grown tremendously in the year since you started middle school, and you are ready for new challenges. You will find yourself continuing to grow both socially and academically this year. We encourage you to explore your interests and meet new friends by joining any clubs or sports teams (physical required) that Crawford has to offer. We also hope to see you work hard and offer your very best as we teach you and help you prepare for your future. We are very much looking forward to partnering with you and your family to ensure that your seventh grade year is an enjoyable and successful one. On August 6th, we will have our Crawford Middle School open house from 6:00-7:15 pm. If you are unable to make it, we will see you on August 14!
