Gifted and Talented

Gifted and Talented (GT): Starting in 4th grade, students have the opportunity to participate in GT. This identification process includes the collection of evidence that may include, but is not limited to:

• parent/teacher recommendations

• formal test scores

• work samples

• MAP test scores

• screening procedures

• sociograms

• self-surveys

• auditions

• portfolios

Students are serviced in a variety of ways. Some examples of service options include:

• differentiation in the classroom

• curriculum compacting

• independent study

• pull-out services
