Commodore Crew
Program Information
Through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, the Commodore Crew is a FREE program for before and after school that provides Homework Help and Enrichment Opportunities, to increase students' overall literacy and engagement both in the classroom and in their future. 21st Century Community Learning Center's are funding through a Federal Grant for 5 year cycles to provide opportunities in underrepresented communities. 'Community' is a focus on not just students enrolled in our program but their families as well, Parents are provided with skill building opportunities and whole family engagement activities as well.

Only for current/upcoming TCMS students
(Limit 50 students due to staffing costs)
8am - 1pm Daily
Location: Tates Creek Middle School
Breakfast and Lunch Provided
Bus Transportation Available (must live in TCMS district)
2023-24 School Year Programming applications are closed. School Year Programming ends 5/16 for Afternoons, and 5/17 for mornings.

7:30am - Programming/Homework Help begins (students must arrive before this time) Must be in classroom by 7:35am.
8:35am - Programming Ends - Students dismissed to breakfast

3:55pm School dismissal
Commodore Crew members report to Cafeteria for Snack (15min snack)
30-40mins of Homework Help
50-60mins of Enrichment time
6pm - Program ends/students dismissed (hand sanitizing on way out)
Information:
- More a student shows up the more House points they could earn! Student is required to attend a minimum of twice a week.
2, If a student does not show up for two straight weeks (with no notification from Parent/Guardian), student will be put back on the wait list.
3. We offer many educational and engagement opportunities for Parents/Guardian and families, please try to attend or view when offered.
Attendance in Student Programming and Family Engagement allows this program to continue!!!

Being new to the Tates Creek Middle School Family, I am so excited to start this new adventure in creating fun and engaging programs for students. Hoping to use my past work in AmeriCorps, Kentucky College Coaches, Educational Talent Search, and the Girl Scouts to create valuable programming to our Creek Community!
