What we are learning about this week:

Kindergarten- 2nd Grade

This week, we are discussing Illustrators and how important they are to creating books. We are doing a book study of The Dot by Peter Reynolds by creating our own unique dots. Class discussions on the main idea behind the book: Anyone can be an artist!

3rd Grade/4th Grade- Culture and Art- This week we are talking about how art connects to where we live and/or our culture from around the world. Discussion on symbolism through art making.

5th Grade- This week, we are learning about careers in art such as illustrators, animators, architects, museum curator etc. Students are gathering in groups to create and design a mural showcasing art professions in various different fields.
