Coding Details

This SIRI like program will be programmed using python. We will be accessing many modules for the program also, like weather-api, and pygame. Then we will release the program for download. Right now we am working on a way to release the program and updates, along with a way to get the local news

Here is the list of the modules we used:

• Win32com.client, This provides the ability for the program to speak
• Time, along with many other things, the time modules allows us to pause the execution of code
• Winsound, We are not currently using this for too much, other than a short beep to notify the program has started
• Math, this module allows the really basic addition/subtraction/multiplication/division
• Datetime, Does exactly what it sounds like, it gives the date and the time
• Random, Picks a bunch or random numbers at the start of the program (Like age and mood)
• Calendar, allows for a really easy and simple print of a calendar
• Webbrowser, Allows for google search
• Pygame, Allows the very limited song library to play

In the 2 branch off programs we used the modules:

• BeautifulSoup 4 (bs4), Used for web-scraping
• urllib.request, Also used for web-scraping
• pafy, Collects metadata from YouTube videos
