What is the LRC?
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) comprises four silent study areas in the college: LRC Lower Bagnall, LRC Whitehouse (for timetabled lessons only), LRC Upper Bagnall and the Library. These areas are great spaces for students to focus between lessons. We also provide physical and online resources, as well as many other services which students may choose to use throughout their time at college.
What's in the LRCs?
Across our LRCs we have over 290 computers for students to use (160 in our LRCs and 130 in Whitehouse for timetabled lessons), as well as printers and chromebooks that are available to borrow in the Library on a first-come-first-serve basis. We also have a wide range of resources in the Library for students and staff to borrow, including:
Fiction & Non-fiction books
Textbooks & Revision Guides
DVDs (English, French, German & Spanish)
Careers books and prospectuses
Pedagogy resource library
What do you need to know about borrowing items from the Library?
To borrow an item, simply take it up to the desk in the Library and we'll put it on your account.
You can borrow up to 8 items at any one time, for 2 weeks.
You can renew them up to 3 times as long as nobody else has reserved the item. To renew an item, you can either ask a member of the LRC team at any of our desks, email us at lrc@farnborough.ac.uk or log-in to your Accessit account and renew the book there (instructions in Induction 3).
When you're done, pop the item into the returns box in the middle of Lower Bagnall LRC or take it to the Library desk.

Upper Bagnall 9.00am-2.30pm (Daily)
