What is Accessit?
Accessit is the College Resource Database where you can find physical and online resources recommended by your teachers.
The following videos will walk you through how to find and use Accessit, as well as some helpful tips and tricks to get you started.
How do you find Accessit?
CristalWeb > More > AccessIt Resource Catalogue > Log-in with your Google college account by clicking the blue button

Search using keywords, author, genre, subject, etc. using the search-bar
Use the advanced search function to specify further
Use quicklists and subject search

Either drag the item to the reserve tab at the top of the page
OR click on the reserve button in the item information window

Either drag the item to the My List tab at the top of the page OR click the 'Add to My List' button in the item information window
Remember to save the list or it will be lost when Accessit is closed down
To make multiple lists, clear the current one and then load to get it back up and continue adding items
Finding Resources 5.mp4How can you view what items are on your account and how can you renew them?
Click on your name in the top-right of the screen and go to 'My Borrowing Details'
Hover over the item you wish to renew to click the 'Renew' button
Remember you can only renew items for a maximum of 3 times. After this, you must return the item
You will be unable to renew items if somebody else has reserved it

Click on your name at the top-right of the screen
Click 'Profile Settings'
Set up your preferences to get alerts for certain subjects, keywords, genres and authors

As always, our staff are on hand to help you with any issues you might have with AccessIt - just ask at a desk or email lrc@farnborough.ac.uk.
We also run workshops and sessions throughout the academic year to help you fully utilise AccessIt, so keep an eye out for these.
