Clearing must be completed before you can formally leave the College - this includes paying off any outstanding payments, fees and fines and returning any borrowed books and other items (e.g. Chromebooks, cameras etc).
Please ensure that you complete clearing as soon as possible. Don't be caught out: if you do not complete clearing, you will not be able to view your results on CristalWeb. You can check what you have to do by looking at your ‘Clearance Form’ on CristalWeb and following the steps below:
Check through your ‘Clearance Form’ on CristalWeb. Go to CristalWeb and then click 'Clearance Form' in the left hand side menu.
If you have any temporary lanyards, these should be returned to the Student Services office or Main Reception, both in the Bagnall building.
If you have outstanding fines, fees or charges to pay, you should pay for these at the Student Services office or Main Reception, both in the Bagnall building. They can accept any digital wallet platform (i.e. Apple Pay etc.) as a means of payment, as well as credit cards, debits cards and cash. You can also call the Student Services office to pay over the phone on 01252 688201.
If you have any items (e.g. books or borrowed equipment) to return, these must be brought back to the College site. It may be necessary for us to check that returned equipment is in working order, so it may not be cleared immediately. Allow 24 hours for us to update the system and then check your 'Clearance Form'. Please ensure that any equipment is returned before the end of summer term on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
Please return any books borrowed from the Library back to the LRC in the Bagnall building and any books borrowed from the Inspire programme to Student Services. Any other books should be returned directly to the relevant department.
Subject equipment (e.g. sewing machines for textiles, cameras for photography etc.) should be returned directly to the relevant department.
If you borrowed a Chromebook, laptop or any other IT equipment, you can return them to the IT Office (just past Main Reception in the Bagnall building) daily between 10am and 3pm. Chromebooks borrowed directly from Kirsten Halvorsen (Pastoral) are to be returned to Student Services.
For security reasons, you are required to return your lanyard and student ID card on the day of your last day exam. There will be collection boxes in Student Services, College Shop, Main Reception and the Registry office.
UPDATE - The College is open during the summer break for you to return your lanyard. Please return to Student Services or the Registry Office (follow signs from Main Reception). Both open from 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
Complete the Leavers’ Questionnaire - all students are required to do this.
Review the ‘Your Details and Permission’ section.
Check that the ‘Status’ section on the ‘Clearance Form’ shows that you have nothing preventing you from clearing i.e. that there are no outstanding actions that need to be taken.
You will lose access to your College accounts (i.e. Google, User Areas and Office 365 OneDrive) by the end of December 2025. It is therefore crucial that you save any work that you would like to keep.
