Course Preparation Work

Task 1: 

Look at the list of artists here or below. Choose 2 of the artist images.

Then try creating an artwork that merges these two artist images together. You can use any material, any approach, any size! 

You could copy one artist image and put the other image in the background in some way. Or you could copy different sections from each image and put them on top of each other. You could digitally try merging the images together or printing them out and cutting them up and then making a painting and drawing from this.

You could copy a section rather than the whole thing. If you are feeling ambitious you could interpret from your merge and make your own artwork from your own images! 

There is no wrong approach to this task! Have fun merging different styles and be experimental with this task

Task 2: 

Using the sketchbook from the Getting Ready session, fill every page with drawings! This may sound time consuming, but it doesn't have to be. Just 1 x 10 minute drawing every day can make a great deal of difference to your skill level.
