Economics (A level)
You only have to spend a few minutes reading the news to recognise the significance of economics in all areas of our lives. Any major event that occurs has a variety of economic implications and raises a myriad of questions. Anyone with the ability to understand these issues and offer some insight into how these questions can be answered will have the satisfaction of possessing a deeper understanding of how the world operates and will be of great value to society.
The A level economics course develops your analytical and numeracy skills and equips you with the capacity to present persuasive and well structured arguments. It provides a foundational understanding of a variety of topics, including the the processes behind the provision of goods and services, various policies that can be implemented when markets fail, issues of wealth and inequality and the operations of financial markets.
