Entry requirements

• You should have at least a grade 6-6 in GCSE double award science or a grade 6 in separate GCSE biology, chemistry and physics as part of a strong GCSE profile.

• You should have at least a grade 6 in GCSE maths.

• You should have at least a grade 6 in GCSE English language

However, bear in mind that these are the minimum requirements to pass the course. GCSE maths is the most critical subject and we have found that students with a 6 in maths do not achieve A/A*s in the A-level. If you have a 6 in maths and do not need chemistry A-level specifically for your next steps, you should consider whether other courses might be a better option to allow you to achieve stronger grades at the end of the course.
