The College Gold Expedition Section Delivered by Expeditions Wales

Thank you to those of you that have completed the medical and consents form already. This was sent out last week and we ask that it be filled out comprehensively. If there's any doubt about whether to include a condition, please do.

Training Weekend. 17-18th January 2026

Timings to be confirmed, but previously these were 10am sharp  - 4pm on both days.

Students will all be on the College grounds for both days, but will be outside for some of the time. It will probably rain.

The Expeditions Wales pack is attached below. Students will be given a hardcopy in January

Reminders of future dates

2nd stage Expedition payment - £250 - 31st January 2026

Practice expedition dates - 21-25 March 2026

3rd and final stage Expedition payment - £250 - 30th April 2026

Qualifying Expedition dates:   being finalised. w/s 28th September 2026

Because of the cohort size, we can't take everybody at once. All the groups will have the same experience, (bar the weather) and will leave on either the 28th, 29th, or 30th September. We cannot let you choose which date - we are constrained by coaches, gender mix and accommodation availability. The eventual outcomes will be published after the Practice Expeditions in March.
