507 Center Street

Since its construction in 1926, 507 Center has been a residence of interest. The house was rebuilt as a two-story in the late 1920s after the original one-story structure was partially destroyed by fire. The house has also been a place of social prominence. W.T. Coghill, co-founder of Ozarks Federal Savings and Loan, and his wife Mildred owned the house during WWII and hosted actors Anthony Quinn and Gene Tierney, star of the classic film, “Laura.” Many Farmingtonians can recall recitals on the Coghill's grand piano, their testimony to Mildred Coghill's skill as a music teacher. The house exudes a warmth which invites you to “come in and make yourself comfortable.”
