All Region Tryout Information

Farmington Bands compete in ASBOA Region 7. This includes all of Washington country schools and Siloam Springs. Individual All Region Events include Orchestra, All Region Concert Band and All Region Jazz Band. Sr. high students who place high enough in All Region Jazz and Concert Band will have the opportunity to tryout for All State Clinic Concert Bands and Jazz Band. Under each heading you will find the listing of requirements for tryouts of each instrument. Not all instruments are used for each of the events. Jr and Sr High Orchestra and Jazz Bands have limited instrument uses.

Tryouts for Orchestra are traditionally in late October. Jazz Band tryouts are done in November after the Thanksgiving Break. Jr and Sr High All Region Band Tryouts are done the first weekend after the Christmas Break.

Tryouts are after school and hosted by the one of the Region 7 schools. Exact dates will be listed on the band calendar located on the main page of this site. The new calendar is approved in April each spring for the upcoming school year.
