ADVANCED ENGLISH 10

Class overview

Advanced English 10 is a survey of world literature to connect with sophomore students' study of world history. Students will complete intensive study of several anchor texts. Advanced Placement literary terms and writing techniques are stressed to prepare for future Advanced Placement courses. Students are required to write a formal research paper in MLA format. A summer reading assignment is required. 

Supplies

Folder or binder to hold papers, pens/pencils/highlighters, notebook paper, box of tissues, access to the following texts (can be digital--most can be found for free online as PDFs, and you can read them on your phone in class): Animal  Farm, Night, Frankenstein, Things Fall Apart, Klara and the Sun
