Coaching Staff

Coach Brant Baarstad is entering his second season as the Fargo North Girls head coach. Before becoming the head coach, he was on the Fargo North boys staff as an assistant under coaches Travis Hoeg and Ted Critchley for six years. Other sports he has coached over the years are 6th grade boys basketball, boys and girls soccer, and even volleyball. Baarstad currently teaches sixth grade Ancient History at Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo. One of his favorite coaching accomplishments was being apart of a staff that won the North Dakota High School Boys "A" State Championship in 2023.

Coach Jamison Jensen begins his first official year as an assistant for the Spartans. Before coming to North, Jensen was on the Northern Cass staff for both the boys and girls basketball teams as a varsity assistant for 7 years. He currently teaches 4th grade at Longfellow Elementary School in Fargo.

Coach Matthew Nemer enters his second year as an assistant coach in the program. Along with coaching basketball, Nemer is the head coach for the Fargo North Girls Soccer program and a varsity assistant for the Fargo North Boys Soccer program. He currently teaches Middle School Language Survey (7th grade) at Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo.

Concordia College (MN) 2024- Social Studies Education

Coach Rachel Nemer begins her first year as an assistant coach in the program. She is the assistant varsity coach for both the boys and girls soccer programs at Fargo North. She teaches chemistry and AP chemistry at Davies High School in Fargo.
