III. Competence: Take precautions to prevent pollution of the environment
Procedures to prevent pollution of the environment
IV. Competence: Apply occupational health and safety precautions
Safe working practices, including risk assessment and personal shipboard safety relevant to liquefied gas tankers
V. Competence: Ability to safely perform and monitor all cargo operations
Design and characteristics of a liquefied gas tanker
Loading, unloading, care and handling of cargo
VI. Competence: Respond to emergencies
Liquefied gas tanker emergency procedures
Collision, grounding or spillage and envelopment of the ship in toxic or flammable vapour
Medical first-aid procedures and antidotes onboard a liquefied gas tankers, with reference to the Medical First Aid Guide for Use in Accidents Involving Dangerous Goods (MFAG)
VII. Competence: Monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements
MARPOL and other relevant IMO instruments, industry guidelines and port regulations
IBC and IGC codes
